Laura Rosenthal, DVM

Dr. Laura Rosenthal received her BS in Animal Science Cum Laude at Virginia Tech while playing first base for the Virginia Tech softball team. She stayed in Blacksburg to attend the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 2004. In 2011-2012 she decided to pursue certification in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.

Dr. Rosenthal’s special interests include: Acupuncture, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and geriatric/ chronic pain management.

One of the things she enjoys most in this field is experiencing and nurturing the human/animal bond and fostering strong relationships with clients.

Outside of work, Dr. Rosenthal keeps busy on her hobby farm with her husband Matt, and daughters Ava and Sophie. She enjoys home improvement projects, gardening and is an amateur beekeeper.

Other members of the family include Oliver, an Havanese mix, Pixie an adopted orange tabby, 6 chickens and 4 Nigerian dwarf goats.
