Veterinarian

Dr. Laura Rosenthal received her BS in Animal Science Cum Laude at Virginia Tech while playing first base for the Virginia Tech softball team. She stayed in Blacksburg to attend Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2011-2012 she decided to pursue certification in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.

Dr. Rosenthal’s special interests include: Acupuncture, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and geriatric/ chronic pain management.

One of the things she enjoys most in this field is experiencing and nurturing the human/animal bond and fostering strong relationships with clients.

Outside of work, Dr. Rosenthal loves to paint (covid helped her to discover an unknown talent) and she also enjoys painting landscapes and pet portraits. She enjoys home improvement projects and is an amateur beekeeper.

She has two rescue dogs, Lucy- a 10 year old Chihuahua/Schnauzer/ Shih Tzu, Baron- a 13 year old red Golden Retriever, and Pixie an 8 year old adopted orange tabby. Once she and her family are settled here in Erie, they have plans for horses, chickens and goats.

Words from Dr. Rosenthal: “I am super excited to start this next chapter of life in the Erie area and be back on the east coast closer to family. My husband, 2 daughters and I can't wait to enjoy all of the fishing, camping, and boating that the area has to offer.”
